Ballet intermediate course 2.1.-5.1.2024

In this classical ballet intensive course, you work on technical skills, challenge your comfort limits and above all, enjoy music and movement. The structure of the class follows the typical structure of a dancer’s daily training class. The course is aimed at students (adults and teens 15 years and older) who have trained in classical ballet for four years or more.

Teacher Suvi Honkanen is a dancer from Helsinki. She started dancing at the age of 3 and studied with Helsingin tanssiopisto special training program and at the Boulder Ballet School in California, USA. Suvi graduated as a professional dancer at the Ballet School of the Finnish National Opera and Ballet, and also studied for a year at the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg as a student of Irina Sitnikova. After graduating in 2010, she was hired by the Finnish National Ballet, where she danced for nine years in classical and contemporary works. For the past four years, Suvi has danced in various productions in both Finnish and international ensembles.
